Roberta Walker

Roberta Walker believes that diligence and persistence are the key elements to a successful criminal defense practice. In fact, diligence and persistence are two of the defining elements of Mr. Walker’s entire life. After earning her bachelor’s degree in music education from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas, Ms. Walker became a public school teacher in rural Arkansas. After diligently teaching under-privileged children in rural Arkansas, Ms. Walker moved to Texas where her persistence was again instrumental in establishing a successful family business that is still thriving today.

Ms. Walker’s diligence and persistence also accompanied her to law school where she earned her Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) at the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas, graduating second in her class. Law Review, Moot Court, and the prestigious Margolies Fellowship are just a few of the academic honors that Ms. Walker received as a law student. The excellent research and writing skills that she developed and displayed while a law student also earned her recognition as a published legal author when her article, Attorney’s Fees Under IDEA 2004: Who Will Take the Case?, was published in the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section’s Journal The Advocate. Ms. Walker’s excellent research and writing skills are invaluable to the clients at the Law Offices of Roderick C. White where she takes the lead in much of the legal research and writing related tasks that are essential to many of the firm’s successes.

Because Ms. Walker is licensed by the State Bar of Texas she is eligible to practice in all Texas state courts. In addition to assisting Mr. White in all of the firm’s cases, a substantial portion of Ms. Walker’s practice is conducted in federal courts in the Dallas – Fort Worth area. While Ms. Walker has the ability to handle federal court matters around the country, she has been formally admitted to practice before the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Ms. Walker is also currently an active member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Juvenile Law and Criminal Justice Sections of the State Bar of Texas.
